COMRiC was formed with the purpose of collaboration by stakeholders within the telecommunications industry to combat issues of crime and risk within the industry in a meaningful and sustainable manner for the benefit of the Country and its citizens. COMRiC is a Risk Information Centre Promoting Security & Combating Crime for Business Continuity & to create Sustainable safe zone for Stakeholders.
Working to enable collaboration and convictions
Since our establishment in 2020, COMRiC has quantified and countered the threats facing South Africa's telecoms sector. Built on the strength of our 5 Founding Members and a core 5-member team, our network has grown to include 25+ Collaborative Partners and Counting, significantly amplifying our intelligence and action capabilities. This collective force resulted in 963 arrests in the telecoms sector during the 2024 FY, leading to 198 convictions—a testament to the power of shared data and focused collaboration.
